ANPOR–APCA 2025 Annual Conference Successfully Brings Together Global Scholars in Thailand

The Asian Network for Public Opinion Research (ANPOR), in collaboration with the Asia-Pacific Communication Alliance (APCA) and co-host Southeast Bangkok University (SBU), successfully held the 2025 ANPOR–APCA Annual Conference, convening over 100 scholars and participants from more than 20 countries worldwide.

The international conference took place in Thailand from November 4–7, 2025, beginning with pre-conference workshops in Bangkok, followed by the main conference at the Amari Hotel in Pattaya. The hybrid format enabled both onsite and virtual participation, fostering inclusive global engagement across academic and professional communities.

Held under the theme “Voices and Visions in Transition: Public Opinion, AI, and Digital Citizenship for Sustainable Futures in Asia,” the conference addressed critical issues at the intersection of public opinion research, artificial intelligence, and digital citizenship. The event created a dynamic platform for exchanging ideas, showcasing research, and advancing interdisciplinary dialogue relevant to Asia’s evolving social and technological landscape.

The conference brought together scholars, industry experts, and representatives from international organizations to share insights on communication, public opinion, and AI-driven policy development. Sessions and discussions emphasized the importance of ethical research practices, knowledge exchange, and practical applications that contribute to sustainable development in the region.

In addition, the pre-conference workshops, organized in partnership with SBU, focused on strengthening research capacity among graduate students and early-career researchers. These sessions offered hands-on training in AI-assisted research, data analysis, and academic writing, supporting the development of high-quality scholarly outputs.

The success of the 2025 conference underscores ANPOR’s continued commitment to fostering international collaboration and strengthening research networks across Asia and beyond. By connecting participants from diverse countries and sectors, the event contributed to advancing academic standards, promoting impactful research, and supporting the next generation of scholars.

ANPOR looks forward to building on this momentum through future initiatives that further enhance regional cooperation and contribute to sustainable knowledge development on a global scale.
